Melanie Challenger’s first collection published by Salt
Challenger's sister Melanie was inspired to write this poem after Tamsyn participated in Spencer Tunick's 'Flesh Architecture' work in Newcastle.
She went with an ex boyfriend and when they noticed that some women were getting their period he likened the scene to a “warzone”. Melanie wrote this poem after Tamsyn recounted his comments to her.
